Zaanse Schans - Zaandam (NL)

The well-known Dutch open air museum with windmills, an original "Albert Heijn' grocery store (now supermarket chain) and real Dutch buildings, to be visited in Zaandam, the Netherlands. Besides the 'Keukenhof', 'Madurodam', and several other tourist attractions, this is the place to be if you love windmills, clogs (wooden shoes), craftsmanship and a taste of the Dutch!

And when you're in the region anyway: Zaandam is very interesting as well, and yes, this building actually exists(!):


Opening times 2025:
Keukenhof is open from Thursday, March 20 through Sunday, May 11 from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., including Sundays and holidays.
